1. Who We Are
Linger Prints is a pet portrait service. We are the controller of your personal data as described in this policy. Contact us at hello@lingerprints.com.
2. What We Collect
- Photos you upload — used only to generate your portrait during your session. Original photos are not permanently stored.
- Generated artwork — temporarily stored to allow you to complete your order, then deleted.
- Order information — your name, email address, and shipping address when you place an order, used to fulfil and track your order.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card details.
- Session data — stored in an encrypted cookie to maintain your experience across page loads. No account required.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To generate your pet portrait via our AI provider (OpenAI).
- To fulfil and ship physical orders via our print partner (Printify).
- To process payments securely via Stripe.
- To respond to customer service enquiries.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos for AI training.
4. Third-Party Services
We share minimal data with:
- OpenAI — receives your uploaded photo to generate the artwork. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Printify — receives your shipping address and artwork to fulfil physical orders.
- Stripe — processes payments. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies
We use a single encrypted session cookie to store your cart and current artwork. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@lingerprints.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
Session data expires when your browser session ends. Order data is retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. Generated artwork files are deleted within 30 days of generation.
8. Security
We use HTTPS for all communications. Session data is encrypted. Payment data never touches our servers.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll note the date of the last update at the top of this page.
